Long-long ago, I was playing with my friends.
After we finished the game then we were going to another friend’s house. In my
friend’s street some boys pushed me and I had fallen down then my hand was
broken. In my home all were crying, all my friends were also crying. I had gone
to hospital then they pray to Allah then my hand is fine now.

From the story tellers (4)
One day my mother asked me to play with my baby
sister and she also said that I do one page cursive writing. When I finished it, I told my mother,
“I have
done the work”, so my mother asked me to help her in the kitchen,
so I peel the
beans and I also washed the vessel for her.
Yesterday also my mother said to
me, “Your father has gone to jamat so
you bring eggs and butter for the morning and so I went to buy all things and
maggi and bread also." AYESHA KAZMI.

Lets laugh a little
Once Nasruddin was invited to deliver a
sermon. When he got on the pulpit, he asked, Do you know what I am going to
say? The audience replied "no", so he announced "I have no
desire to speak to people who don't even know what I will be talking
about!" and left.
The people felt embarrassed and called
him back again the next day. This time, when he asked the same question, the
people replied yes. So Nasruddin said, "Well, since you already know what
I am going to say, I won't waste any more of your time!" and left.
Now
the people were really perplexed. They decided to try one more time and once
again invited the Hodja to speak the following week. Once again he asked the
same question - Do you know what I am going to say? Now the people were
prepared and so half of them answered "yes" while the other half
replied "no". So Nasruddin said "Let the half who know what I am
going to say, tell it to the half who don't!" and left.
FOR PARENTS
Allah swt says in the holy Quran :
And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small."
When asked to write few lines about parents, the students thus expressed....... read Quoting kids (1-5)
Quoting Kids (5)
FARHA KHAN, Std.III says :
We should never shout at our parents
because they are always caring for us.
They are good. When we are ill they take care of us. In the holy Quran it is
said that serving the parents is a good thing, Allah will become happy with us.
Mother makes for us- food. We should obey our parents because they work for us.
They do so many things for us when we are children.
Quoting Kids (4)
MAHERA MALIK, Std. III says :
1)
We should help our
mother and father.
2)
I help my mother. My
mother is doing all housework.
3)
When I come in house
then my mother said to me, “Please go to your room” and so I went to my room in
only one minute.
4)
We should not shout at
our parents, I talk to them nicely.
Quoting Kids (3)
FARHAN SALIM, Std. III says:
We should treat our parents with what
Allah has said. We should obey our mother, what she is saying we should do
always because Allah has said in Holy Quran to treat our parents nicely. We
should do what our father is saying we should talk sweetly to our mother and
father. When my mother is saying go for salah, my brother and I go for salah.
Quoting Kids (2)
HARIS KHAN, Std. III says :
Allah(S.W.T) has said in Holy Quran that
we should obey our mother and father. One day a man asked Prophet Muhammad sallallaho
alayhe wasallam that
who I should treat very nicely? Prophet Muhammad sallallaho alyhe
wasallam said three times “your mother” and one
time “your father.”
Whenever our parents come from market we
should give water to them and whenever they ask us to do this work we should do
that work only and we should not shout at them and we should not become angry
with them.
Quoting Kids (1)
HUMZA ZUHAK KIRMANI , std. III says:
I obey my parents to make them happy
because Allah said in Holy Quran to treat your parents kindly and talk with
them sweetly. My mother asks me to go for salah,
so I go. I also help my mother in the kitchen and in the market also. She does
lots of work for me. We should study hard to make our parents happy. When they
come from outside we should say salaam and give them water.

A MODEL FOR ALL OF US
M U H A M M A D
sallallaho
alaihi wasallam
Our leader, the messenger of Allah sallallaho alaihi wasallam was the most perfect with excellent qualities.
May we learn from him and follow his steps so that Allah swt will love us. We
should remember that:-
He was always cheerful and smiled at everyone he
met.
He was the most truthful and polite, he never uttered a lie nor any harsh
word.
He did not shout in the market place and was very
refined in his behaviour, he always wore neat clothes.
He treated everyone with love, respect and
kindness, he took great care of his guests.
He was patient, he was thankful and always
remembered Allah swt.
He did not return evil for evil but was glad to
forgive and forget, he prayed for the guidance of his enemies.
He did not lay his hands on anybody except in the
way of Allah during times of jihad and he did not strike anyone, neither a
child nor a woman.
When someone asked for help, he would always give
him what he needed or sometimes if he couldn’t, he would speak kindly to him.
He was very brave and except Allah, he feared none.
Realizing Responsibility
O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.
Everyone in this world
is striving hard to get success. But what is success? Different people define
it differently. For some, success is a good job, good salary, a comfortable
living; for some its to get a suitable life partner or may be settling in some
foreign developed nation etc. In short, to majority of people, success can be
measured in terms of materialism.
For someone with close
relation with the Quran and sunnah, the perception changes. Success depends
upon the final judgement which takes into account the deeds done in this world.
But the life in this world and the Hereafter are not detached as two separate
entities but they are continuous with a transient phase (Barzakh) in between.
No doubt its only on the Day of Judgement that one would know of its failure or
success!
~All is well that ends well~
So it becomes a
responsibility that we facilitate all possible help to ourselves and others to
be able to succeed on that day. Allah swt says in the Holy Quran, “O you who
believe, protect yourself and your family from the Hell fire.” And indeed to be saved from the torment is to
have succeeded.
Coming to
responsibility, other than providing food, clothes and other basic necessities,
good ‘tarbiyyah’ of the child is an important duty as well.
Children are not only
Allah’s blessings upon us but they are a trust and we are tested through them.
Each one of us parent will be answerable to Allah swt on the Day of Judgement
regarding the way we bring up our kids. And most of us like to believe that its
a set time that this education or rather ‘tarbiyyah’ period starts at, a certain age when we will start
to train them and teach them but often it so happens that it gets late.
Actually tarbiyyah
starts much earlier; as soon as the signs of life’s existence start appearing in the mother’s womb, the
learning starts, the influence on the young mind begins from there itself. You
can observe remarkable difference between the child whose mother was busy
reciting the Quran, doing zikr of her Lord and the child whose mother was ghafil from such pleasantries that have
double sided benefits!
There can be many such
incidents like a daughter not being taught the right way to dress and when its
high time she might just not realize or find it difficult to give up something
that is a habit or she might just refuse! and that is when it gets real late.
Similarly for many other things, for sons and daughters alike, its not easy to
give up something that has become almost second nature but the big question
remains, ‘Why don’t we act at the right time? Right tarbiyyah at the right time
and the right way should be our focus, May Allah swt help us all realize our
responsibility and guide us to do it the way that pleases Him the most and make
our efforts beneficial in both the worlds. (Ameen)
Because its a life time
responsibility, soon after the first three years, as the child grows, the
responsibility of nurturing him starts weighing on the parents’ shoulders. The
search for a good school starts all in the name of educational provisions but
more important is that we start creating that environment with material and
spiritual means together. IMS is such an effort where we not only try to
provide education but also a healthy atmosphere for the moral and behavioural
development of the child referring back and again to the treasures of values in
Islam. Each member- teacher, student, parent, staff, management becomes a part
and thus the environment keeps building on its own. And its a hope that one day
the society then the nation and the world at large would reap the positive
effects of this healthy relation which started with realisation of one’s individual
responsibility!
Merci
Children are the most angelic and beautiful little creatures
on the face of the Earth. The feelings they feel and the expressions they
express are the purest and most genuine one will ever come across. They remain
unaltered by minds that have learned to scheme and hearts that have learned to
deceive. They thus deserve to be cherished, protected, cared for and carefully
nurtured.
Man's success in fact lies in retaining this innate goodness
that he is born with, in spite of having to always learn new things at each
step in life. But this is a difficult task and requires the conjoined efforts
of many people: parents, teachers and the community at large.
The Islamic Mission School has at its very heart the aim of preserving and enhancing this goodness in children by making them grow up with teaching of mercy, of the Prophet of mercy (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), of the religion of mercy, revealed by the Most Merciful.
